skipping the small talk

Happy Fall, everyone! I've been waiting to say that since September 22 of last year. Fall is my favorite, favorite, favorite season. The air is crisp, the colors are warm, the flavors are comforting...I could go on and on! (I happen to be a Fall-baby, so maybe I'm a little biased).

I rang in the new season quite appropriately by attending the wedding of my dear friends Taylor and Chad. Let me just say, fun weddings are the best weddings. It was equal parts sass, seriousness, and celebration...accompanied by plenty of desserts and dancing. Praise the Lord for dancing.

The wedding was (lucky me) in Lodi, so I made it a weekend-trip and came home as well. Home always entails delicious food, plenty of coffee, and pedicures with Mom. And when I say always, I mean always.

Say goodbye to super clear pictures and hello to camera-phone pictures. Wish it weren't so.

Perk #9343857 to home: espresso machine.

Breakfast today: homemade pumpkin-spice latte and simple, seeded-toast with cherry preserves.

Confession: I'm addicted to the frozen multigrain waffles from Trader Joe's...addicted.

Semi-homemade pizza from a couple weeks ago: garlic/herb dough (store-bought), pesto, mozzarella, chicken, and caramelized onion. This might have been the same week I consumed pizza 9 days in a row...count it on both hands people, 9 days. Oops.

I vow (in honor of Fall) to blog as consistently as I can. Until then, light a pumpkin candle and think of me fondly.
